Eric began his club management career in 1988, with time spent at some of the most prestigious clubs in the country including the Duke University Faculty Club (Durham, NC), Beaver Lakes Country Club (Aliquippa, PA) and Wooster Country Club (Wooster, OH). Eric’s passion for golf and member services is apparent as the GM/COO of Canterbury Golf Club. Eric oversees all areas of the club including member services, financial management, clubhouse operations, golf operations, food and beverage as well as the other recreational areas of Canterbury.

To compliment the championship golf course, members have access to a practice fairway, putting greens and an excellent teaching staff. Tournaments, Sunday outings and class and club championships provide exciting competition style play. A highly regarded junior golf program provides a tremendous foundation for young golfers and has produced a number of Canterbury champions.
Canterbury Golf Club members enjoy tennis and paddle tennis on four Har-Tru tennis courts and two Reilly all aluminum paddle tennis courts, each with two propane heaters to melt ice and snow. Professional tennis instructors are available year-round and the Club offers men’s, women’s, children and co-ed events.
Whether it’s a special night out, a family dinner or lunch on the pool lawn, our superior culinary staff and excellent service staff are ready to serve every need of our members. From formal dinners in the majestic English Dining Room, to casual gatherings in the Rook Room and Grille Room, to patio style dining on the outdoor terrace with breathtaking views of the course, members are treated to exquisite cuisine created by Chef Greg Kapel.
Canterbury boasts many social events for every member of the family. The event calendar is full of challenging and fun events for men, ladies and juniors. Adults annually enjoy casual and formal events including the Kentucky Derby Dinner Dance, Casino Night, Wine Tastings and The Canterbury Beach Party. Family events are second to none, including our Halloween & Fall Festival, Holiday celebration and Pool Parties.
Our Junior athletic programs, including swimming, tennis and golf, produce some of the area’s best young athletes.
A beautiful garden setting surrounds the Club’s heated, Olympic sized pool. Known to have one of the best swim teams in the area, Canterbury was the first club in the U.S. to initiate interclub swimming competitions. A professional staff provides lessons and oversees many activities including synchronized swimming.
